Song Lyrics and Chords by Luke Combs
Luke Combs

Verse 1 :
     G
Well I got caught in Panama City
C                  D                     G
Tryin' to buy some beer for some Georgia girls
    G
And I got wore out by my daddy
    C             D                         G
For stealin' cigarettes from the Smokes and More
     C
And all my friends would get away
      G
Seems I'd get caught, plain as day
  Em                  D               C
I took the blame for every little thing

Chorus :
          G
But I got away with you
    C         D                      G
And somehow I still ain't been found out
       G
It's a crazy truth
       C                D            G
Like I strolled out the gates of Alcatraz
             G
And I walked in the Louvre
        C           D             G
Now the Mona Lisa's hanging in my house
       Em            D                  C
I bust out of Buckingham with the crown jewels
    D                G
And I got away with you

G D

Verse 2 :
     G
Well lookin' like you do
C            D               G
On its damn own, should be a crime
     G
Let alone a fool like me
C                 D                    G
Hand in hand with you, should be doin' time
    C
But here we are runnin' free
      G
Guess someone turned the other cheek
       Em                  D                  C
'Cause there ain't no blue lights in the rear view

Chorus :
            G
Yes, I got away with you
    C         D                      G
And somehow I still ain't been found out
       G
It's a crazy truth
       C                D            G
Like I strolled out the gates of Alcatraz
             G
And I walked in the Louvre
        C           D             G    D
Now the Mona Lisa's hanging in my house
       Em            D                  C
I bust out of Buckingham with the crown jewels
    D                G
And I got away with you

Bridge :
C
I'll take it all, the fails, the falls
     G
The county jails and one phone calls
    Em         D            C
I'd do it all again if I had to

Chorus :
             G
'Cause I got away with you
 C              D                      G
Somehow girl, I still ain't been found out
       G
It's a crazy truth
       C                D            G
Like I strolled out the gates of Alcatraz
             G
And I walked in the Louvre
        C           D             G      D/F#
Now the Mona Lisa's hanging in my house
       Em            D                  C
I bust out of Buckingham with the crown jewels
    D               G
And I got away with you
C                   G
When I got away with you
C                            G
Yeah, I got away with you

A 40 HP Johnson on a flat bottom metal boat
G             Cadd9           G
Coke cans and BB guns, barbed wire
   D/F#
and old fence posts
G                Cadd9      G           Cadd9
8-point bucks in autumn and freshly

cut cornfields
G               Cadd9      G
One arm out the window and one

Some things just go better together and
        Cadd9
probably always will
              G            Cadd9           Em
Like a cup of coffee and a sunrise,
                     D/F#
Sunday drives and time to kill
           G                 Cadd9     G
What's the point of this ol' guitar if it

ain't got no strings?

Or pourin' your heart into a song

It's a match made up in heaven,
                  D/F#
like good ol' boys and beer
    Cadd9          D/F#
And me, as long as you're right here

G Cadd9 G Cadd9

Verse 2 :

Your license in my wallet when we

Your lipstick's stained every coffee
  G             D/F#
cup that I got in this house
    G               Cadd9
The way you say, "I love you,
      G                  Cadd9
too" is like rain on an old tin roof
         G               Cadd9
And your hand fits right into
        G           D/F#
mine like a needle in a groove

There's a couple of people that I owe a

beer or two
     Cadd9                         G
And three or four I owe more than a few
    Cadd9                              G
For all the times I could not find the answers
 Am                  G/B           C
Stumbling though the dark without a clue

This one's for you

Verse :
 Cadd9                       G
Mom and dad always did their best
      Cadd9                        G
For a crazy fool who could not help himself

I thank god that they were there to see

me through

This one's for you

Chorus :
   Cadd9                         G
I told you all I'd write you a song

Put my heart in the melody

To keep you singing along

This might not be the right time

These might not be the right lines to prove

Or say what I'm trying to

But this one's for you

Verse :
  Cadd9                              G
I've been knocked down time and time again
  Cadd9                                     G
Got picked back up by love and a few

good friends
     Am            G/B            C
Who reminded me of all I stood to lose

This one's for you

Chorus :

I told you all I'd write you a song

But this one's for you

Verse :
 Cadd9                                    G
Made more than my fair share of the

Some apologies are way past overdue

This one's for you

Verse 1 :
              F#m     D             A       E
This is my kinda town, this is my kinda place
                  F#m D
I wouldn't mind hangin'
                             A        E
'round for more than just a couple days
         F#m                    D
I got a 12th floor room with a killer view
          A        E
Of the empty Astrodome
                F#m               D
Got a tab at the bar downstairs,
               E
But all I can think about is home

Chorus :
            A
I got new boots covered in red dirt,
     D
A "Don't Mess With Texas" t-shirt
       A                                         D
And a Lonestar postcard postmarked with

"missin' you"
               A
It's got the biggest sky you've ever seen,
      D
The coldest beer you'd ever drink
    A                                    D
But I still feel like I landed on the moon,
D                    F#m D E
'cause it ain't got you
E                    F#m
Houston, we got a problem

Instrumental : F#m D A E

Verse 2 :
                   F#m
You should've seen 19th Street,
D                     A          E
You should've seen a midnight rodeo
               F#m           D
The way them saloon doors swing,
D          A                    E
When they line dance to "Copperhead Road"
               F#m
Some like the lager down here,
           D                  A                  E
That'll make you feel the way all them

cowboys do
                 F#m D
I wish I was an outlaw,
                 E
But all I can think about is you

Chorus :
            A
I got new boots covered in red dirt,
     D
A "Don't Mess With Texas" t-shirt
       A                                         D
And a Lonestar postcard postmarked with

"missin' you"
               A
It's got the biggest sky you've ever seen,
      D
The coldest beer you'd ever drink
    A                                    D
But I still feel like I landed on the moon,
D                    F#m D E
'cause it ain't got you
E                   D  A
Houston, we got a problem
