Intro : D    G    D

Verse 1 :
       D
Dear today, tomorrow here
                  G
Man I was just checkin' in,
       D
hope you’ve been well

Me, I'm doin' alright, could always be better
           G                   A
Seein' as you're the only one with
     D
a choice in the matter

If I know you, hell, you're too busy
                G                        D
To do damn near anything, that you ought to
                   D
I guess what I'm sayin' is, if you don't change
                 G               A            D
Boy, you'll be kickin' yourself one of these days

Chorus :
          G
So maybe you should call our Mama,

have a drink with our old man
       D
Quit wastin' our sweet time and put

that diamond on her hand
     G
Stop takin' me for granted like

I'll always be around
       D
Cause even as you read this boy

that clock is tickin' down
A                            G
And remember every second

I got's borrowed
                            A                D
So I hope you think of me today,

sincerely tomorrow

Verse 2 :
                 D
Listen I ain't tryin', to bring you down
                    G
Cause I sure know better than,
     D
pushin' you around
                     D
I guess I was just lookin' out,

for you and me both
      G               A         D
Cause we both lose if I told you so

Chorus :
          G
So maybe you should call our Mama,

have a drink with our old man
       D
Quit wastin' our sweet time and put

that diamond on her hand
     G
Stop takin' me for granted like

I'll always be around
       D
Cause even as you read this boy

that clock is tickin' down
A                            G
And remember every second

I got's borrowed
                            A                D
So I hope you think of me today,

sincerely tomorrow

Bridge : D    G

Chorus :
          G
So maybe you should call our Mama,

have a drink with our old man
       D
Quit wastin' our sweet time and put

that diamond on her hand
     G
Stop takin' me for granted like

I'll always be around
       D
Cause even as you read this boy

that clock is tickin' down
A                            G
And remember every second

I got's borrowed
                            A                D
So I hope you think of me today,

sincerely tomorrow
