Verse 1 :
 D
Someone chooses you out from the pack
          G
Coz they like something special about you
                       Bm
And that will start the chain reaction
                  A
Do you like them back?
         D
If you do, you'll fall into some sort of dance
         G
Taking steps back and forth,

to see where you stand
          Bm
Playing games with your eyes
                                         A
Letting them decide if you'll take the chance

Chorus :
     G                             A
Coz then it makes sense all the

songs where they said
             Bm                          D
That love shines like a light from your skin
       G                           A
We're creatures of herds forming

bonds made of words
         Bm                        D
Hoping this time, we'll actually win
 Bm                A          D
This time we'll actually win

Verse 2 :
      D
Then unless you're together til you're faded peach
  G
Cracks start to form, the ground

moves from your feet
          Bm
And the things that you loved, are no longer
A
things that you need
     D
And maybe it ends with a bang but more often
      G
It ends with a whisper, coz you've just forgotten
 Bm
How to be something the other one
A
wants to call home

Chorus :
        G                           A
For a while it makes sense then it

won't and you're left
           Bm                     D
With this emptyness filling your gut
           G
But we're creatures of habit
       A
So no matter how damaged, oh
       Bm                     G
We'll always want someone to love
       Bm          A          D
We'll always want someone to love

Bridge :
   Bm
The earth will keep moving
    G
The sun will keep rising
     A
And love will keep shifting and breaking and hiding
      Bm                         G
And still we keep searching for someone
A
to spend all our time on

Outro :
       G                              A
Coz it might not make sense right now maybe not yet
        Bm                     D
But I promise one day you will see
       G                           A
We're creatures of trust, one day someone will come
        Bm                          D
And they'll build up the person you'll be
         G
And you'll see
          Bm          A         D
That you always need someone to love
