Intro : Cmaj7 Am11 F6sus4 Fmaj7 Fm (x4)

Chorus :
Cmaj7                 Am11          F6sus4    Fmaj7
Life feels like a lie, I need something to be true
                 Fm
Is there anybody out there?
Cmaj7                       Am11            F6sus4
Life feels like there's something missing,
          Fmaj7
maybe it's you
                 Fm
Is there anybody out there?

Verse 1 :
         Cmaj7
I never fucked in a car, I was lying
               Am11                  F6sus4
I do it on my bed, lying down, not trying
           Fmaj7
Apathy for me is an issue, you see
            Fm
I just talk about the things upsetting me
      Cmaj7
And I get somewhere, I don't like it
        Am11
Get somewhere, change my mind, eh
F6sus4                    Fmaj7
Get somewhere but don't find it
        Fm
I don't find what I'm looking for

Bridge :
         Cmaj7
Yes, and if they catch you slippin'

Trippin' over your fibbing and elicit
  Am11                  F6sus4
A ribbing over how they think you should be livin'
       Fmaj7
That's life, kind of, maybe take some time off
    Fm
You can't live in denial of setting it right
           Cmaj7
Because if nothing is revealed, everything denied
Am11                          F6sus4
Learn up yourself before you talk it
                     Fmaj7
They need to see you walk it

You don't fuck with your poor fans
    Fm
You need the rich ones to expand your floor plans

Verse 2 :
          Cmaj7
You can't figure out, at heart you were lying
                   Am11                     F6sus4
You're doin' in my head with your non stop trying
              Fmaj7
Never gettin' sleep and forgettin' to eat
               Fm
I pretend that all these things agree with me
      Cmaj7
And I get somewhere but don't like it
        Am11
Get somewhere, change my mind, eh
F6sus4                     Fmaj7
Get somewhere but don't find it

(Find it, find it, find it)
        Fm
I don't find what I'm looking for

Cmaj7              Am11             F6sus4    Fmaj7
Life feels like a lie, I need something to be true
                 Fm
Is there anybody out there?
Cmaj7                       Am11            F6sus4
Life feels like there's something missing,
         Fmaj7
maybe it's you
                 Fm
Is there anybody out there?

The 1975 are an English pop rock band formed in 2002 in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Now based in Manchester, the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel.

The band's origins trace to their attendance at high school and playing together as teenagers. Gigs organised by a council worker led the band to formally sign with Dirty Hit and Polydor Records. The band opened for several major acts and released a series of extended plays (Facedown, Sex, Music for Cars, IV) throughout 2012 before releasing their self-titled debut album (2013), which included the popular singles "S3x", "Chocolate", and "Robbers" reaching number one in the United Kingdom.
