Payin' Hard Chords and Lyrics by Kip Moore
Artist : Kip Moore
Song : Payin' Hard
Album : Wild World
Verse 1 :
C
Heaven knows I've had me one hell of a time
C
But like the night gives way to the morning light
F
There's a poundin' in my head again
G C
I'd be lyin' if I said I wasn't tired
Verse 2 :
C
And I can't help but think of Janie
and those pretty eyes
and those pretty eyes
C
Yeah, she was sweet as berries on a summer vine
F
She had a heart of gold, we were burnin' coals
G C
Hotter than a sidewalk in July
Chorus :
C
At the expense of my heart, Lord,
I've cashed in my soul
I've cashed in my soul
C
Chose this old guitar before
the only love I've known
the only love I've known
F
I gotta live with that, lose sleep with that
G C
When I close my eyes, I'll die with that, yeah
C G
My life's a credit card, play now, pay later
C
And I'm payin' hard
Verse 3 :
C
Well, I've heard it said that moments
come and then they pass
come and then they pass
C
And it sure passed me by when
I should've saw my dad
I should've saw my dad
F
But I plugged it in to another town
G C
Swore another chance would come around again
F
But I plugged it in to another town
G C
Swore another chance would come around again
Chorus :
C
And now it's gone, that kinda gone
that don't come back
that don't come back
C
I only see him now in dreams that I have
F
I gotta live with that, lose sleep with that
G C
When I close my eyes, I'll die with that, yeah
C G
My life's a credit card, play now, pay later
C
And I'm payin' hard
Chorus :
C
So long, my friends, I guess this is my farewell
C
And damn all these pennies swimmin'
in my wishin' well
in my wishin' well
G
Told every single story that I had to tell
F
I'll live with that, sleep with that
G C
Make my peace, and I'll die with that, yeah
C G
My life's a credit card, play now, pay later
C
And I'm payin' hard
Outro :
F
And I'll live with that, sleep with that
G C
Make my peace, and I'll die with that, yeah
F
I'll live with that, sleep with that
G C
And I'll make my peace, and I'll die with that, yeah
