Verse 1 :
E
High or low, Where’d ya go?

Are you stuck in the middle? A spectral
  Esus A Asus2 A
invisible ghost
              E G A D E
I’m here juxtaposed
     D A E G A D E
Like images of angels in the snow
     D A
Our courage melts away,
               E Esus E
it comes then goes

          E
Where ya been?, Can I find

A glimpse of my friend, don’t know
             Esus A Asus2 A
where or when one of us left
           E G A D E
The other behind
   D A
Divisions came and troubles
       E G A D E
multiplied
   D A
Incisions made by scalpel
           E Esus E
blades of time

Chorus :
G A E Esus E
Comes then goes
G A E E
Comes then goes

Verse 2 :
       E
Can I say, how ya been?

I can guess and conjecture my altered
Esus A Asus2 A
perceptions unclear
           E G A D E
Please interfere
 D A
Sadness comes, with it a
        E G A D E
sea of tears
        D
Would some love be best
 A E Esus E
had it not appeared?

         E
Is this you? Here I stand

Intense recollections of pain
       Esus A Asus2 A
self neglecting again
             E G A D E
Like you, I keep it in
   D A
Thought you found a game
                 E G A D E
where you could win
      D A E Esus E
It’s all vivisection in the end

Chorus :
G A E Esus E
Comes then goes
G A E Esus E
Comes then goes
Bm A E
Comes and goes

Instrumental : G G A G A G A E (x2)
               G G A G A G A G A G E

Verse 3 :
        E
High or low, Try again

She fell off the altar a vision
     Esus A Asus2 A
you caught her but then
              E G A D E
A woodcut in red
   D A
I wish it was not you that
         E G A D E
she had led
 D A E Esus E
Selfish navigation with no end

            E
Where’d ya sleep?

Can I find, a deeper connection in
               Esus A Asus2 A
the face of rejection I’m trying
     E G A D E
I’m trying
D A
Evidence in the echoes of
      E G A D E
your mind
D A
Leads me to believe we
            E Em E
missed the signs

       E
Can I try, One last time?

Could all use a savior from
        Esus A Asus2 A
human behavior sometimes
                  E G A D E
And the kids are alright
     D A
The Queen of Collections
            E G A D E
took your time
 D A
Sadness comes ‘cause some
           E Em E
of it was mine

Chorus :
G A E Esus E
Comes then goes
G A E G A G E
comes then goes
Bm A E G A G E
Comes and goes
Bm A E
comes and goes

Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam is an American rock band formed in 1990 in Seattle, Washington. The band's lineup consists of founding members Jeff Ament (bass guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar), Mike McCready (lead guitar), and Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), as well as Matt Cameron (drums), who joined in 1998. Keyboardist Boom Gaspar has also been a touring/session member with the band since 2002. Drummers Jack Irons, Dave Krusen, Matt Chamberlain, and Dave Abbruzzese are former members of the band.

Formed after the demise of Gossard and Ament's previous band, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam broke into the mainstream with its debut album, Ten, in 1991. One of the key bands in the grunge movement of the early 1990s, its members often shunned popular music industry practices such as making music videos or giving interviews. The band also sued Ticketmaster, claiming it had monopolized the concert-ticket market. In 2006, Rolling Stone described the band as having "spent much of the past decade deliberately tearing apart their own fame."
